Since 1988, the America-Israel Friendship League has partnered with the National Association of Attorneys General to facilitate delegations of state Attorneys General from across the United States and its territories. Program alumni include: Hon. Gale Norton (1995 , former AG of Colorado) who went on to serve as U.S. Secretary of the Interior, Hon. Janet Napolitano (1999, former AG of Arizona) who went on to become the Governor of the state of Arizona and U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, and Hon. Ken Salazar (2003, former AG of Colorado) who went on to become a U.S. Senator and then U.S. Secretary of the Interior.
The Attorneys General are introduced to the political realities of governing a democracy in the Middle East. The group meets with government, political and municipal leadership to gain insight to key social, economic and political issues relating to Israel and her neighbors.
