2018 Flag Raising Ceremony at Bowling Green

Those in attendance heard from Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, Executive Vice President, New York Board of Rabbis, Arthur Piccolo, Chairman of the Bowling Green Association and the co-founder of the Lower Manhattan Historical Society, Ibrahim Kurtulus, Cheryl Bier, CEO, Bnai Zion , Dr. Esther Serok, and American Zionist Movement’s, Herbert Block. Cantor Eric Friedman of the YU School of Music gave a moving rendition of both the Star Spangled Banner and the Ha’Tivka as each flag was raised followed by Jerusalem of Gold.
