Delegations to Israel

Multifaith & Community Leaders

The America-Israel Friendship League (AIFL) is chartered with strengthening the relationship between the people of the United States and of Israel by improving perceptions about Israel as it pertains to faith-based communities and their religious teachings, theology and traditions.

The mission of the AIFL Multifaith Cooperation initiative is to create an ongoing relationship with leaders and members of many faiths, including Buddhists, Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Evangelicals, Hindus, Mainline Protestants, Muslims, Sikhs and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, among others. The goal is to inform and educate members of all religions and brainstorm on developing practical humanitarian actions that can be taken together to benefit society in the United States and Israel.

One of our core projects is the Multifaith Outreach Webinar series, which brings together noted faith and community leaders and Israeli representatives to explore relevant issues of interest of cooperation. The series is designed to create a safe environment for continued engagement and dialogue with AIFL, Israel and the diverse faith communities, increasing and enhancing exposure to, and the level of understanding of, the State of Israel, and all that it is doing to promote interfaith dialogue, education, and respect.

AIFL multifaith activities seek to educate and inform about the realities facing Israel, which includes exploring faith-based ideological and theological teachings about Israel and the Jewish People, and how such dialogue can help improve the understanding of modern Israel. Developing these important long-term relationships requires building trust and credibility with new partners, and we take great care in ensuring that all partner perspectives are considered. The programs are informative in nature, for the purpose of building bridges, and have no proselytization aspect to it.
