b'DR. MICKEY GIDEON Dr. Mickey Gideon is the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva, Israel. He specializes within the field of brain-surgery in correcting congenital and acquired central nervous system malformations in children and the field of congenital head and face anomalies in cooperation with the plastic surgery team. Dr. Gideon received his MD and MBA with honors degrees from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He is a senior lecturer at both the Joyce & Irving Goldman Medical School at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and the Professor Ephraim Katzir Department of Biotechnology Engineering. With a strong focus on harnessing innovation, technology and mathematics to advance and improve healthcare, he also serves as a medical director for several innovative Israeli HealthTech startups with special interest in surgical robotics and is a member of the board of directors for several MedTech VCs in Israel.
